ANSYS is a multi-purpose FEA analysis program. In addition to the readily available capabilites in the ANSYS program, INTECSEA has also developed several tools using ANSYS APDL capabilities to automate pre- and post-processing.
Flexcom is a three dimensional time domain, non-linear finite element evaluation software package used for slender bodies such as TLP tendons. Flexcom 3-D incorporates both static and time domain dynamic analysis with or without currents imposed.
Shear-7 is a program to evaluate the vortex-induced responses of tendons and risers in sheared currents and calculate fatigue damage.
ABAQUS is a general purpose finite element program for analysis of structures.
Visual OrcaFlex is a general purpose marine dynamics program developed by Orcina for static and dynamic analysis of slender bodies in a marine environment. It is used for in-place analysis, and installation, lowering and pull-in analysis.
LifeTime is a software developed by MCS to compute the fatigue damage and fatigue life of risers and tendons.
Clear-3D is a software developed by MCS to compute the clearance between risers and tendons with the consideration of the wake interference effects.
A proprietary program that reads ANSYS results files and computes and sorts, by magnitude, the combined stress and the equivalent stress (Von Mises) to identify controlling wave conditions, which become critical load cases for design review.
FASPAN computes the total fatigue damage and fatigue life estimation for the tendons.
PCRISER is a versatile, general purpose, software package used for the analysis of marine riser and tendon systems.
TENCHK is a postprocessor for Flexcom analysis of tendons. It incorporates API RP2A LRFD tension-collapse unity checks along the length of the tendon, utilizing component stresses developed from Flexcom dynamic analysis.
FATDAM performs fatigue crack growth simulation analyses for complex engineering components subjected to fatigue loading conditions. This program is specially designed to handle a wide range of loading and geometric conditions of TLP components, such as pipe, threaded joint, weld toe details, etc.
FATDAMFAD performs a fracture mechanics fatigue life analysis for tendon or riser components subjected to both fatigue and design extreme loads. The fracture mechnaics analysis will establish allowable initial flaw sizes during manufacture and fabrication satisfying fabrication specification using the failure assessment diagram method recommended in API RP 579 or BSI PD 7910 method.
