Job Description:

The subsea group at INTECSEA (UK) Ltd provide a critical role to all projects undertaken by the company in the UK office.  An increasing workload requires the company to recruit a Subsea Hardware Engineer with proven experience in the oil and gas industry.

The UK office supports the Europe, Africa and Middle East operating centre’s with close links to the INTECSEA headquarters in Houston and other offices in Delft, Singapore and Perth.

A flexible working approach is anticipated reflecting the needs of the varied work handled by the Subsea hardware group, responsibilities will include:

Performing layout and specification of Subsea hardware on all project phases (Concept/FEED/Detailed design).

Education and Experience:

Shall have full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating subsea hardware aspects of projects and technical assurance. Applies extensive experience over broad areas to ensure technical quality of work and efficiency of approach. Evaluates results. Works as Senior member in team providing leadership and direction. Frequently is the INTECSEA representative in Client meetings.

A good knowledge supported by experience covering the following core skills;

  • Subsea trees, Manifolds connectors, valves, Wellhead equipment, IWOCS and ROV / ROT Intervention systems.
  • Working Knowledge of:
  • Able to write specifications, design philosophy documents, and technical reports
  • An understanding of, and the ability to critique subsea field layout concepts and design drivers
  • Able to interface with Subsea Controls, Pipelines, and Flow Assurance disciplines
  • Production and drilling operations.  
  • Familiar with subsea equipment P&ID’s
  • Good commercial awareness and computer literacy
  • ISO 16328-parts 4, 8 & 9
  • API 6a, 17A and 17D

Minimum degree qualified with 5 years experience in Subsea Hardware, including subsea valves, connectors, subsea trees and well head equipment
